Meet the writer

To tell you a little about myself… writing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Now that I have retired, I have more time to devote to my passion for the written word. My aspirations are modest. I write short pieces and enter occasional flash fiction or short story competitions as a way of keeping motivated. I belong to a small and wonderful writers’ group where we share our work and encourage each other in our different writing pursuits. I enjoy the creativity, the stimulation, and the challenge of writing.

I live with my husband of nearly 30 years in Perth. Our 20 something daughter still lives with us which suits us all. I have travelled a lot, and lived for many years in England and then Ireland when I married my Irish husband. With the way the world is, we feel very fortunate to live a peaceful life. I love bushwalking, the beach, reading, my choir, and of course, writing. I hope you will enjoy my website.
